Inspector Alleyn is witness to the death of a musician while enjoying an evening at a club with his wife, Troy. A bickering peer and his wife, drug addiction, a secret gossip columnist and mistaken admirers must be dealt with before he can solve this case. Great characters and suspense to the end.
