I'm still new here and learning everything about the sight, but I have noticed that you can only write a review on a book that you have posted in your bookshelf.  Why is that?  I have several keeper books that I do no want to post but would like to write reviews for them, because there are either no reviews or maybe not really descriptive reviews for some of the books, and I want to share my views so that others may find that they will enjoys them as well.  Is there a way to write a review  without having to post my keepers?  Please let me know if I am missing something.  Thanks!!!

You can put a book in your "Books I've Read" list and write the review from there I believe.

You can post a review on any book from the book's page, whether you post it or not, whether you have it on your Books I've Read list or not.  Go to the book's page, click on the downward pointing arrow - if you hover over it, it says "Misc Options" - then choose review and review away!
