VERY good read - historical fiction. A young wife and mother travels to Washington City to find her wounded husband. At his passing she returns home to their farm outside Gettysburg, PA for his burial and to raise their young daughter. What follows depicts the atrocities of battle during the Civil War and the healing that started to repair the nation.
