  spine of the universe
its vastness cannot be fathomed
cosmic winds rustle the leaves
a thousand worlds die, the force rips time

roots piercing all reality
entwined with worlds and minds
drawing life from our mere existence
consumer of ethereal energies

lives and deaths engraved in its bark
cryptic visions briefly glimpsed in dreams
like patches of sky through the branches
world tree growing without end
ancient beyond our concept of time

twisted limbs branching into a trillion paths
we live and feed, die like insects
trapped in its sap

planets and galaxies like dust in its eye
a blink and we're gone endless cycle of life
eternal the endless cannot be carved

we're flowing in patterns of its wood grain, the spirals and whirls
it cannot be changed

Whoa. Wow. If there's a better description of Yggdrasil in any saga or lore, I haven't come across it. You've captured it in words perfectly! Thanks for sharing this!
