Ray adds another love story to her novels about the Grayson family of Santa Fe. Ruth Grayson's latest calling is to find spouses for her children. After successfully finding the right woman for her eldest son, Luke, she is on a mission to find the perfect mate for her son Morgan. Her biggest obstacle is that none of her children is anxious to get married. When a world-famous sculptor has a show in Santa Fe, his protege, Phoenix Banister, attracts Morgan's attention. He is warned to tread carefully so that he does not jeopardize his career or antagonize the famous artist. Yet he is so completely smitten with Phoenix that he throws caution to the wind and openly pursues her. Phoenix is overwhelmed by Morgan's interest, but she has a past that may jeopardize their future. Her mentor uses that secret to keep her beholden to him. Morgan's love for Phoenix and appreciation of her talent motivate him to clear her name.
