Not all sorcerers are good, in fact, 90% of them give the rest a bad name (or is that lawyers?). Anyway..... one man---who initially supported the status quo---finally realized sorcerers shouldn't be the ruling class, and despite every effort he made to avoid taking an active role in that mission, finds himself doing just that.

This two-part series, of which this is the first book, is a bit different from the author's great Ethshar series in that the humor is absent. But I still enjoyed the story and am looking forward to reading the second book.
