This was a good story although I felt 'A Midwinters Tale' book #1 was better. Still worth a read- I enjoyed the charactors and the era.

Chuck O'Malley returns to Chicago after his tour in post-war Germany, continuing the story from "A Midwinter's Tale". This is a nice story of an Irish Catholic family in the late 1940's as one of their own comes to terms with the world of college, romances, freinds and how his parents met (and how that impacts his life).
