I know others have raved about this book, but I found the heroine tedious, and the story boring. I think I am one of the few who didn't like it though.

Excellent book. I like how Carlyle portrayed both Quin and Viviana as flawed. They both made bad decisions in the past and now have to deal with them.

Pretty good, but not up to her usual standard

Oh, I loved this story which begins in London, 1821. The "Two Little Lies" are told by Viviana Alessandri and Quinten Hewitt when they each denied that they loved each other. "Tell me something, my dear," he said quietly. "Do you love me?"....."No, Quin. I do not love you. And you do not love me." He looked at her and said, "No, I suppose I do not." Those two little lies changed both their lives forever........

Two star-crossed lovers will not admit - to themselves, or to each other - that they love one another. I like the author tremendously, but this was not one of my favorites.
