Very delightful book by Miss Read, great British storyteller who makes us feel we are there in the village as she tells us of its doings and goings-on of the people there and nearby. Heartwarming and a relaxing read. Miss Read fans will love this one.

This is a good book on the childhoods and upbringings of the princes by both their parents and nannies and life in the royal palaces and public. Speaks much of Diana and her beliefs and the protocol of the British royal family, etc. Very good book and candid but an enjoyable and informative read.

I really liked this book. It spans a few generations of two families and is a page-turner. Very nice family story. Although a novel, it is mainly set in the author's birthplace/hometown. He is a character in the novel as a child but is the adult narrating the story in his own voice. This book is also a movie.

Great classic on mental illness; in particular, schizophrenia and hospitalization to treat it some years back. Tells what the disorder is like for the patient and the family by an actual case history.
