"Though Eve Faraday was beautiful and intelligent, she never expected to be wooed by the devastatingly handsome and utterly charming Aubrey Ashford, the most eligible bachelor in all of London." Thus starts the premise for this charmingly different Regency novel. It is a romance with a twist and was very enjoyable from page one. Edith Layton doesn't need descriptions of 'raw passion' to keep her readers interested. Good story.

A previous reviewer faulted the author for repeating some of The Lost Duke Of Wyndham's scenes, as if 'wearing someone else's glasses'. I found this to be one of the perks of this book. It was extremely interesting to me to view an exact scene being someone else. I imagine it was quite a challenge to Ms. Quinn, but I feel she accomplished this feat wonderfully. I enjoyed this book almost as well as its predecessor. Great job. I will continue to buy everything Julia Quinn writes.
