The Magnificent Mountain Women: Adventures in the Colorado Rockies
Review Date: 9/23/2011

GREAT BOOK!! Tremendously strong and courageous women of those times. A part of our history that is overlooked so much. Read the book several times and each time found something I had missed.

Native Women (True Tales of the Old West, Vol. 3) (True Tales of the Old West, Vol 2)
Review Date: 10/30/2008

This is a great little book, with multiple short stories of the Native American Women. It would be a great book for a teenager who loves the history of the old west. The facts are true and most are written very factful. It says in the title that it is Vol. 2 and 3, but it is only Vol. 3 the book states.

This was a very good book for the author's first book. It held my interst all the way thru. At the first I had to go back and compare my dates, but after that it I could not put it down. I was hoping Mrs.Carie would make a sequel of it, but I don't think so. She transports you back in time to Alaska and you feel as if you are in the gold fields with Elizabeth and Noah. Good reading all the way.

All the Chastain siblings wanted was to get their money back. They thought sneaking into the room of the robber who'd killed their father would be easy. No one was supposed to get hurt---especially not Ransom Starr, sheriff of Willow Grove.

This was a great reading book. Held my interset all the way through, did not want to put it down. Maybe there will be a follow up to this one.
