One o the best book I have ever read, and I don't use the label lightly. In a relative small number of pages, John Barnes manages to weave a story about climate change, the tie-in together forced on us by the internet (globalization) and the changes brought about in the media landscape. And he did all of this in 1995! I would dare call this book seminal. Very few people have still discovered this book, which is a shame. Still, this does not stop me from recommending it as highly as I can.

An exceptional modern American Fantasy Novel, even though the events take place 20 years ago! I didn't quite read it in one sitting, but this book reads like a thriller.
