This book is strange and a little creepy for my taste. While not altogether terrible, the synopsis sounds a lot better than it actually is. It quite literally lives up to it's title where I thought it was more of a social setting, more like group therapy than an actual dreamscape where they try to kill each other, which was another thing I did not expect to be so literal, I imagained the "destroying each other" part meaning reputation-wise.
I admit it was misunderstanding on my part, and it might suits someone else's tastes but not my own.

I have mixed feelings about this book. It's so strange and out there that part of me has given up figuring out what's going on, and part of me wants to read more BECAUSE it's so out there and so different from my normal reads. The artwork is very nice but the author does so much gender-bending I'm not sure who's who and which was is up. Kaori Yuki has tons of potential but the story would be easier to follow if it didn't introduce so many sub-plots at once and focus on so many characters in the first volume. Overall, I'm not disappointed I requested it and I might even give the second volume a go, however, I doubt I will follow the series til the end.

How to I begin to explain my love for this series? I absolutely worship these books as well as their creators. The art is fantastic, the characters intriguing and intelligent, the plot cunning and amazingly planned out down to the tiniest detail. This series will make you think and you will be awed by the creative force behind this riveting crime story, it's a battle of the wits all the way through til the end and this is not some average tale where you can stay a step ahead of the characters and predict everything or anything that will happen next. An extremely good read and one I'd recommend to anyone and everyone who will listen. You wouldn't be disappointed.

A beautifully drawn, charming and complex story about a charasmatic wealthy theif, Noir, and his "most precious jewel," Florian. I adore this series and am devastated that there is only four volumes. The series has just the right mix of humor, adventure, mystery, and could do with a smidge more romance but it is obvious the love is there even if the lust doesn't make much appearance.

I adore the anime version of this series, enough that I'd stay up til four in the morning just to watch it on tv even on a school night, sadly, the book doesn't quite work for me. The storyline follows pretty accurately but without the bright colors and charming mecha noises. Without those two elements the battle scenes get a little confusing for me and I have no idea what's going on. But other than that, I loved it and recommend the book to any guy or girl seeking a good soild read with a strong plot and action.

I rather fell in love with this book. My sister actually asked me if it was difficult to read after watching me carry it around with me for two weeks, my nose planted in the pages. I have to assume I've reread at least six times since then. I thought the story was well spaced out, not too fast or choppy and my only problem was seeing the last page. I wish it was longer. Like... Twilight-length would be good!
I also bought With Caution and it was pretty good. That one seemed to move a bit faster, maybe too fast since Remi was supposedly straight but you know, 'those damnned pheromones.' For some reason With Caution didn't grab me as much as Without Reservation but I would definitely recommend them both.
