This book is a seemingly simple narrative, from a seemingly simple perspective that is filled with emotion and complex characters. Ruth offers insights into a life without all the extras. She shows through reflection how emotions can be twisted and shaped. This was a unique read but still interesting.

This cookbook has some really neat ideas for college students. I enjoyed the advice about buying food and how to prepare it in a limited space (like a dorm room). The recipes are easy to modify. Many of the recipes were easy to make and were quite tasty!

This book was quite helpful when I went the "OH MY GOSH I'M GETTING MARRIED" phase of my engagement. The book offered advice was witty (making it fun to read) and helpful (things I hadn't heard from others).

A great book to read when looking for something quick and simple. It was a heartwarming story with interesting historical tidbits about quilting. There was enough mystery to keep the reader interested without too much suspense. An enjoyable read! Recommend it!

The recipes include pictures and easy to follow directions. The introduction with shopping tips was quite helpful. Also, the cookbook is divided into sections based on the type and cut of meat. Overall, the cookbook was helpful (despite not owning a vacuum sealer).
