This was an absolutely amazing book! When I first picked it up, I figured it would be more like Alice in Wonderland, since that's what the title was a play on. it was nothing like Alice in Wonderland though! The story and plot was unlike any I had ever read or even heard of before!

It was a truly amazing book with great story and character development. All of the characters were realistic, along with the very world itself.

There's no doubt that anyone who read this book, would absolutely love it! Its got the romance and the action and a little bit of drama all mixed into one killer story! I can't wait for book two to come out!

I just can't with this book. I picked it up because it looked like a fun twist but just... The writing is horrible, Alice is portrayed as an absolute moron, it's repetitive, and the same scene just drags on and on and on forever without anything really happening. I've read many versions of Alice in Wonderland and never had such trouble trying to read one. I wouldn't recommend this version to anyone honestly and I'm very disappointed.

I thought that a lot more could have happened but it was a really cute romance/drama. They made friends and got closure with the girl moving away, the mermaid got her love. It was cute, sweet, and simple all while exploring a whole selection of feelings and emotions. One of my favorite books!

In all honesty, I'm not even sure where to start with this review. Hell, I wasn't even sure if I was going to finish this book. The title and cover made it look like it would be a fun and easy read but it was anything but... I struggled to read and make it through this book. It was confusing, boring, and I felt we jumped all over the place very frequently. I had a hard time keeping track of who or even what I was reading about. It felt like a jumbled mess to be honest. I was very disappointed. It sounded and looked like it could have had a lot of potential but it just failed in every aspect. I'm sorry to say it but not only would I never pick this book back up but I'd never recommend anyone else to either.

To start off, this was a very fast paced read, which is always nice if you so me. I read this book, from start to finish in about 4 hours. It was an easy read but honestly, the story itself was confusing. Obviously, it's based on the original Beauty and the Beast story line. But there are several differences as well.

Some of these differences were easily understood, like added characters, a little background story, some Personal experiences the Beast went through, etc. Other differences from the original story were... out there? They were very vague or left completely and utterly unexplained so it didn't make a lot of sense. Like the people of the castle. Did they turn to stone for everyone? Did only the beast see them as stone? Did they turn into figurines like in the original story? It wasn't explained and the author left it vague to the point of confusing.

The entire book had the very minimal amount of dialogue possible. The book explored the Beast's feeling and experiences regarding previous relationships, but it didn't explain or go into detail regarding Belle at all. The author didn't explore this relationship at all in the book. It was as if Belle and his psychological growth because of her were merely afterthoughts. It was very disappointing.

My first impression of the book when I picked it up was that it would explore the mind and feelings of the Beast as a human, then as the beast, when he met Belle, and as it changed after meeting Belle. It explored him as a human and changing into the beast but that's it. It fell short in his transition and change with Belle. It was just completely left out.

Over all, I found the book very disappointing and just lacking. The characters were all underdeveloped, the story line was there but it felt very unfinished, and it felt as if many of the ideas were just kind of thrown in there without much thought.

In the end, I'm glad that I only borrowed this book from the library instead of buying it. I would have been upset if I'd bought it.

I'm not even sure where to start in regards to this book. It was unique, very creative, in-depth, but not drawn out. It was an easy and quick read but it was also very well written. To say the least, it's not what I had expected at all when I picked this book up:

Obviously, it's a ghost story. That's in the title, it's in the summary, etc. And yes, the story itself is a ghost story but I don't know. I was expecting a haunting, some scaring, cliche story, you know? That wasn't this at all. Without giving too much away, the book is about a boy named Jack who has recently lost his father. This boy has special powers to sense and eventually communicate with and see the dead. Because of his powers, he ends up drawing in a ghost known as the Ghost Mother. She longs to replace her dead child and ultimately, replace his mother. The story goes on from there.

The background of the characters is deeply explained and brought wonderfully to life! There's views of the underworld, or Nightmare Passage, as called in this book. It gives such a unique view into the possible world's beyond.

I honestly didn't expect much from this book when I picked it up. I was really expecting a typical cliche ghost story like what you see on TV. I just grabbed it for a quick read and because I like ghost stories. It's now been sitting on my shelves for nearly a year with my showing little interest in it until a week ago. Rather randomly, i was drawn to it, threw it into my bag to read, and finally, 2 days ago I started reading it and I couldn't put it down. I got literally halfway through the book before going to bed and re-picked it up today to finish it. It was just such a fantastic and well written and thought out book and story. I highly, highly recommend it. The cover and summary of this book don't do it justice at all. I'm so glad that I picked this up on a whim because it was an amazing story!
