This was a very good story. Very intense...not a light read. With that said, it was also well written. Would greatly enjoy more from this author.

The subtitle of this book is - A Novel of Suspense. That it certainly is. It kept me guessing till the very end. Not overly romantic, but a well- written story. I'd love to read a part two.

The picture on the cover is a bit dated, but the story inside was one of the best I've read. A little bit of mystery made for a hard-to-put down story.

I picked up this book because I like romance novels. The "small town Utah" humor was hard to take... Also it is written form a slightly corny point of view. I didn't mind that the main character is male, sometimes that makes for a nice change.

I love Women's Conference, so I had to read this.

While I generally like Nicholas Sparks' books, I hate the endings (When someone dies)While this isn't one of those, its not a happy-ever-after, either. It's a lot like real life, where you learn.

This book was certainly a page-turning mystery! The author did a get job of balancing suspense, mystery, and romance. I really enjoyed this book.

From the back of the book (I just couldn't say it any better) "I can always count on Betsy Brannon Green to coast me a good night's sleep. You'd think I'd learn not to start one of her books at 9 pm. The mystery pulls the reader right in and the suspenseful twists and turns make setting the book down nearly impossible."
I'm not usually fond of suspense mysteries, but this was a great story!

This was coming home to old friends...I'd already read the first two in this series (although each makes a good stand-alone story) Real life isn't a piece of cake, and that is reflected in this story.

I didn't expect to really like this book...but I really do. There are two story lines (a major and a minor) that intertwine. The main character, Andi, has to deal with a love-interest who is not there a lot (due to his job) A lot of people can relate to that. While the book is a light read, it isn't sappy, and it is thought-provoking. An enjoyable read!

From the cover, I thought the book would be a young-adult type story. I'm 49, and yet I could relate to the characters. The story line was well developed.

This cover has to be the tackiest one I've ever seen on an LDS romance! I almost didn't read it, between the cover and that the story is about college students. (Sometimes those stories are a little bit shallow for my taste.)
I'm glad I didn't judge this book by is cover. It was amazingly well-written, and I'd like to see more of this author's work.

Saw the special on PBS. The things I tried really worked, I just don't take enough time to pamper myself the way I should.

Excellent book-my child read it multiple times. I only wish there were more in the series. As of 2011, this is the only one.

If you've been reading Josi Kilpack's culinary mysteries, and wanted to read everything she's published, you need to be prepared for a change of pace.
This book is deep and thought-provoking, definitely not a quick or light read. I also had a hard time putting it down, because the story was very well written.
The book covers a serious and challenging topic, and Kilpack does it it a compassionate way. I would highly recommend this book.

My dad gave me this book when I had to read Shakespeare in high school. He said if I could follow the story first, it would be easier to understand the language when I read the real thing. It worked so well, when my own children read Shakespeare in school, I had to get a copy. Now my college student wants his own copy! It's great to be able to laugh and learn at the same time!
