Many of us love to watch screen heroes and heroines fighting against evil or injustice in action packed adventure films. For a couple of hours we can escape into a film world where the best human characteristics, such as bravery, honesty and kindness win out in the end. We can thrill to the exploits of Indiana Jones on the trail of lost treasure and the adventures of Tarzan. This lively book also shows how fantastic modern special effects have managed to bring to life comic book superheros, such as Superman and Batman, who are capable of fabulous feats of power and heroic deeds.
