I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the next 2 in the series. this one really is a romance with an ongoing theme that I'm assuming will carry over throughout all 3 stories but she did a great job of 'ending' this couple's romance. The man, Mason, is a halfbreed - his mother is human-and all the Breeds are required to do a certain number of hunts, killing rogue werewolves who have begun killing humans. this proves their loyalty to their tribe/clan whatever and gains them entrance to the group. This guy and at least one friend (who gets his story in the 2nd book) have resentment for the tribe and how they were treated and haven't joined although they've long met their quota. Mason is afraid to love and do a 'blood bond' to link to his soul mate.Torrance is a romantic and afraid to love without knowing she'll be loved back and never left. An evil rogue werewolf is after Torrance because he sensed Mason cares for her. Both fight their attraction through most of the book..the woman has spunk which I like and the man is definitely alpha but not mean or anything. The book had lots of humor though not the silly LOL kind. Of course there's some drama and tension throughout but overall a very good story and romance.
