Jessie is asked to accompany Betty and Winston to a home where a friend of theirs has passed away. Winston feels that there is something very wrong about his friends death and asks Jessie to look into things.

Jessie does not practice veterinary medicine in this book. She plays a sleuth. Lots of great characters to place the blame on. Keeps you guessing till the end.
