Pulp Friction is the second book in the A Cider Shop Mystery series set in Blossom Valley, WV and featuring cider shop owner Winnie Montgomery. Opening her new cider shop has brought in a lot of locals and also event bookings for her Granny's, Smythe Orchards and Winnie is grateful that the risk of losing the family orchard is over.

Winnie is proud to be hosting the wedding of Elsie Sawyer to Jack Warren. While the actual wedding ceremony goes off without a hitch, things take a turn at the reception when the groom becomes highly intoxicated and begins arguing with members of the wedding party and then with Winnie's ex-boyfriend Hank Donovan. When the groom is run down and killed by his "honeymoon" truck all fingers point to Hank as the killer.

Hank's sister, Gina begs Winnie to track down the real killer and clear her brother's name. The one problem? Hank's gone missing. Despite the warnings from Sheriff Colton Wise and her Granny, Winnie sets out with the help of her best friend Dot and quickly finds herself the killer's next target.

A fast paced and well written plot. The cast of characters (and animals) transport you right into the heart of Blossom Valley. I could almost taste the delicious ciders that Winnie creates. Just the right touch of romance, I'm looking forward to more adventures with Winnie and her friends. Plus, I can't wait to see what the next animal Dot will convince Winnie and Granny to adopt.
