Dianne Day's Fremont Jones series is wonderful. In this book, Fremont is in a train wreck and is rescued by a renegade former Mormon polygamist. (As a Mormon myself, I know that this characterization is mostly fictional license, but I was able to overlook it. It's just a story...) There's suspense, mystery, and a lot of fun here.
