Small town East Texas: Murder! This book gives a taste of real Texas, with good backgrounds. The weather, the plant growth, or lack-there-of, the everyone-knows-everyone sense of a small town, problems of single-parenting and dating, and teen-age issues are all exhibited here. And that doesn't even get to the story! An important but not really popular man is found dead. The DA has political ambitions and wants the case closed quickly. The judge doesn't believe the prime suspect is guilty. A big evangelicalist, from the near-by big city of Dallas, makes an appearance. About the only missing is the big loopy friendly family dog! This book is easy to read as well as fun.
