(#10 of the Havers-Lynley series)-This is another intricate plot with several characters and mini-plots happening all at once. George writes in a way where you dont get lost and everything comes together at the end. This was about the murder of Nicola and Terry. Nicola was a beautiful girl sought after by many. Terry, it was thought, was just a victim of circumstances. Lynley is on the case because he knows Nicolas dad and he asks Tommy to be on the task force. Andy, the father is a former undercover cop with the yard. Lynley is not happy with Havers after the last book where she almost kills her fellow officer to get her to help save a victim. Havers is demoted and Tommy isnt on Barbaras side. So he asks Nkata to be his partner. But the case has leads in London and Nkata goes to Barbara for help. I love Havers. She is a great character. She is good at her job. She is like a stubborn bull-dog. No matter what the consequences, she is going to solve this case. And solve it she does. This series just gets better and better. I feel like I know these characters personally.
