In 1970 Willie Traynor came to Clanton, MS in a Triumph Spitfire and vague ambitions. Within a year at the age of 23 he finds himself owner of Ford County's only newspaper. Before Willie bought the paper it only published obituaries. After a murder Willie is thrust into the center of a storm.
