I would of never spent time reading this book had i not admired and liked Ms. Velez-Mitchell in the first place. I watch her faithfully and believe she stands for many things i believe in. So that said...when i bought her book i wasn't really expecting to hear to much new material but just to learn a little more about how she became strong and was hoping for some info on her earlier years.
This book blew me away. Ms Velez-Mitchell talks like you and her are the only ones in the room and she tells secrets that i had never imagined. There are pictures of her mother and father whom she adored and started her on her path of several addictions in many areas of her life. She used plain, often blunt words and hides nothing. Just tells it like it was and is. I profoundly enjoyed this read and admire her even more so now than before i read of her battles. She is a woman to look up to for her strength and causes. She has been thru hell and returned shining and full of grace and wisdom. iWant is a rewarding read for many reasons, but if you have any type of addiction in your family or among your friends, this is a nice place to start to understand how life can get out of control and be taken back with the same energy used to create the destruction.
