I wish I owned this book. (Found it on the "new" shelf at local library).
An English professor, married to a math professor, suffers profound disorientation after her twin brother commits "suicide by cop." As the story unfolds, the reader and professor discover forgotten, hidden and never-known secrets that lurked in their family for generation. Nuances of her intimacy (and avoidance of intimacy) with her husband, brother, parents are aptly drawn while never being heavy handed. Cathartic reading for anyone with a less than perfect family who has hoped to find a Promised World.
