I'll have to be the wet blanket here. While I loved the first two Demonica books, this book was a disappointment. The heroine is annoying. She goes from normal/sane one minute to angry/irrational the next. She is very inconsistent and does stupid things that get her into trouble. In short, she's the type of heroine I can't stand. I loved the hero as his character was written in the first two books of the series, but here, his character is changed to such an extent that he's not like the Wraith we've come to know. The ending seemed contrived. Frankly it's disappointing when the author tries to give any human love interest of these supernatural beings some supernatural abilities just so they can be with their nonhuman partner. It's an easy way for the writer to get away from a plot dilemma. It's also becoming predictable. In the first book, the heroine discovers she's not entirely human. In the second book, the heroine is bitten by a werewolf, and you can guess something happens here to the heroine as well.

The secondary character of Gem finally grew a backbone where Kynan was concerned. I was starting to think she was a complete doormat. I was actually more interested in their story than the primary hero and heroine.
I would get this book from a swap. Don't pay good money to buy it. If you like the Demonica series, you'll probably want to read it.
