A thought provoking story of the early US military advisers in Vietnam.
How they relate to each other based on background, training, age, rank etc. How they interact and deal with their Vietnamese counterparts and what the restrictions are that they must work with. All these factors come into play when they go out on patrol and are faced with the dangers in the villages and the communication duplicitous orders from the Vietnamese military commanders. The cultural differences alone are enough to put a disastrous finish on any mission.
