It is amazing story of Vail the Dark Prince (as his mother calls him) He is banished from Faire from the unseelie court and has been in touch with Rhys Hawkes and she brother Tryst Hawkes and finds out he is the product of rape from Constantine and in doing so made his mother insane. Vail is hired by is uncle Rhys to find a missing gown that was stolen for Hawkes and also the person how is tied into the dress was kidnapped. Vail hates vampires but is one and most of this book shows his also an addict to fairy dust and Lyric helps him come clean in more ways then one. He falls in love with Lyric and they both complete each other, they become rocks for each other to lean on. Lyric gets Vail to face his mother he hasn't seen in all his 30 years of like and sees her and is hurt fro what she said to him. Little did Vail know his father was with in arms length from him where Lyric calls home.
All I can say is this is a lot of struggling for Vail to find is place and comes to term with his breed with the help of his Lyric. We see a side of Vivian's insanity and all Rhys has to help her with the help from Tyst, an she does get revenge on her tormentor in front of her family. After he revenge she finally accepts Vail he dark prince as her son and Vail has family that has accepted him for who he is.
