Set in Deadwood, Dakota Territory, 1876

Emma is a Widow who is trying to keep up her dead husbands gold claim and raise her 4 year old daughter. After several years of this her daughter is
needing more guidance and direction and Emma is thinking of leaving the claim to tend her daughter. She see the damage the search for wealth in the hills is doing to so many lives and ponders the price.
