Disappointing, because it omits Milton - who is rather like the proverbial elephant in the room! The editor explains this omission in the introduction; apparently, a separate volume on Milton was being planned for the series in which this one appeared, and the publishers didn't want any overlap. This is rather unfair to readers of this volume, who would expect the coverage to include Milton. The title of this one should have been "Seventeenth Century English Poetry without Milton."
