A House Beautiful Seasonal Guide to Decorating with Fabric: Ideas and Inspiration, Projects and Patterns
reviewed Coffee Table Book with Projects Inside on + 3 more book reviews
Helpful Score: 1

The layout of this book gives it a coffee table/inspirational feel with some projects interspersed in the main body of the text and with several projects in the back. All of the projects focus on large volumes of fabric (window coverings, bedding and table covers). There are stips on mixing and matching patterns and textures corresponding to the seasonal theme of the book.

Projects include a cover for a storage unit, a bedroom coronet, an outdoor canopy and stools, table covers, duvet, baby basket liners, shades (swedish, roman, soft roman, formal roman and lined roman shades), curtains (casings, tapes, button loop attachments along with gathers, pleats and ruffle details), valances and swags, lampshades, pillowcases, bolsters, seat cushions, slip covers for various chairs and foot stools, bed dressings (throws and dust ruffles (including box pleats)) and table linens. Most of the projects focus on giving measurement guidance (how to measure your object and then calculate the amount of fabric needed) and then some basic instructions.
