Cat is he daughter of a friend who was murdered 10 years ago, Cat is traumatized and may or may not have murdered someone and now someone may be after her. As Stride gets involved with the case he starts uncovering a prostitution ring involving some of the cities politicos and not all is what is seems. Meanwhile, Maggie is having a fling with a fellow officer in another town to offset her feelings for the mistakes she & Stride made in their relationship and Serena is still gone from Stride's life. Another seemingly straight forward case from the past rears it's ugly head combining with the current case and it's all hands on deck. Stride has to get to the bottom of Cat's trauma from her parent's suicide/murder to tie in with what is currently happening all while trying to reconcile with Serena. Will Maggie & Serena get over past hurts and will Stride be with his love and solve the cases?
