This is a very good book that I really enjoyed reading. It is so refreshing to read a book with a rich plot that is also free of cursing, sex, and immoral behavior. It is a true Christian series written by a Christian woman about the trials of a woman alone in pioneer days. You will want to read the rest of this series to follow the story to it's conclusion. I sent the whole set to my daughter and granddaughter to read after I finished it.
