I loved this book, it was a highly enjoyable and satisfying read. It's got a heroine who is sweet but with a stubborn streak, and a taciturn, overprotective hero who has trouble admitting he's in love with her. I like the marriage of convenience plotline. They get married about 1/3 into the book, and I enjoy stories of newlyweds getting to know each other. I thought the author did an outstanding job of showing the heroine's Quaker faith, and it made a realistic plot conflict because the hero was an ex-military man and didn't understand her belief in resolving problems nonviolently. It's a funny scene when he wants to challenge someone to a duel on her behalf and she very forcefully intervenes! To top it off, the author sure knows how to write some really steamy love scenes. The story featured several couples that were the main characters in Kelly's earlier books, and now I want to read them all!
