This was only the second book I've read by E.C. Sheedy and I was very impressed. I couldn't put the book down. There were a lot of characters to keep up with. Even though Keeley and Gus were the focus of the story, there were so many other characters that caught my interest. Sheedy spent a lot of time on her side character as well so I ended up feeling like this story was about a whole group of cool people.

There weren't any surprises what everyone's motives were but somehow Sheedy keeps the story good. This was written after "Killing Bliss," but the events probably happened before or right at the same time line as "Killing Bliss"

The back cover description was a bit convoluted. Basically Mary Weaver ran a house for unwed and/or abused women. In her death bed, she decided to confess her sins to three parties she had wronged in the past. Keely, Mary's goddaughter, returned only to have to deal with the aftermath of Mary's confessions. Of course there were parties not happy with Mary's confessions and Keely's life might be in danger.

Well worth the read if you enjoy suspense mystery with a bit of sexy romance thrown in.
