When I first started this book, I felt it was very mean spirited, but I kept reading it, and I became interested in the characters and I was able to get past Patrick Dennis' nasty tone; and I quite enjoyed the silliness of it. There is alot going on in this book, but in a lazy, Mexican resort way. If you liked the antics of Auntie Mame, then you'll like this one too.
