I loved this book. Most of that love comes from the adage that you can't judge a book by its cover and how it applied here. The main character was running away from life to this place that would allow her to get a fresh start. She purchased the ugliest house on the block and proceeded to fix it. The other houses were beautiful on the outside but troubled inside.

When it is all said and done, each character became more human, imperfect, yet better. Well worth my time.
