It took me a bit to get into this book. I had read the two previous books to the series and found them easy to follow. I couldn't get into this one right off the bat. It goes back and forth in time. Once I got past book 1 "The Lady and the Land" and started reading book 2 "Before..." it was all good. I think if I would have read book 2 "Before..." first to the second paragraph of page 349 and then gone back and read book 1 "The Lady.." and then returned to page 349 the third paragraph, I could have gotten into it better and felt the characters, instead of reading 63 pages and wondering if I wanted to keep reading or not. I'm just telling you this, because I feel it would have been better understood. I think the author just did this to change it up from the first two books in the series. Over all it's a good story.
