This is a coffee table book with a few pages of light text. A brief explanation of a kittens life is basically what the text is.
I'm much more a dog lover than a cat lover and I picked this up because I happened to see it for very cheap and I do like cats. I also wanted to share the pictures with my daughter, who loves all animals. I wouldn't pay full price for this but I'm sure hard core cat lovers would.
The pictures are beautiful as expected of course. A surprise however was how beautiful the background scenery was. Everything in the pictures is so far from what it looks like here in America so that was a pleasant added surprise.
There is one picture, somewhere near the middle I think, of a young cat in a tree. The bark of the tree has a hole in it where the bark knotted up into what looks like a heart. Inside the "heart" is the young grey and white cat. That may very well have been the best picture I think. It was stunning.
