Emma's sister Abby keeps trying to forge her future for her. She needs to get away, so she travels to Charm to help their cousin out, who is a widow with twins. Emma soon meets Noah who seems to get her.
Kelly has had to deal with being back and forth with Nick. He keeps cheating on her, and she forgives him every time. She goes to Charm to get away and to help out her great Aunt Irene at a bed and breakfast.
Emma and Kelly forge a friendship, but if Emma's sister found out, would she be upset with her? Abby on the other hand is starting to learn more about her own feelings and doesn't know how to share these feelings with anyone.
This was a good story, but I don't believe it depicted how the Amish act much, but it was close. It seemed more like an Old Mennonite Order story but I liked it.
