Classic Grace Livingston Hill. Not quite as good as most of her books, but very enjoyable read just the same. A story of a young woman during World War I, and a young man fighting is that same war. She is dealing with very difficult family, he is dealing with the fires of war. He remembered her from their childhood, she remembered him (after he wrote her a letter thanking her for helping him through a very dangerous time), as the boy she met way back when. How she helped him and how they ended up getting together you will have to read the book to find out.
