Wonderful book to offer some help when you or a loved one is diagnosed with cancer. After the shock and sadness wears off, and the grueling treatments are at last behind you....then what? Here the authors suggest tackling a whopping big challenge--in their case, it was completeing the Marine Corps marathon. This was especially challenging (even preposterous!) for Kathy (the primary voice in the book) since she'd never run a day in her life...even before cancer. I found their experiences touching and inspiring. We all want to not only survive cancer, but thrive afterwards, and the Cawthon's story lets you know it's possible. The writing was clear and unfussy, but heartfelt and ultimately joyous.
