14 year old Ted is sick of being pushed around by jocks who think they own the world and all the pretty girls in it. Now Ted has decided "if you can't beat them, join them." He's going to become a jock by signing up for lifeguard training, and he's talked his best friend, Will into joining him. Maybe that way they'll be chased by cheerleaders instead of bullied by the jocks.
Unfortunatley, it isn't quite that simple, and while Ted's idea of turning himself into some kind of hero soars out of control, he's getting deeper and deeper into turning himself into some kind of jerk.
