Based in Berkeley, CA - which is fun to read about if you've ever lived, worked or visited there. It's a fairly low-keyed University town. Jill Smith's character gets herself into mischief because she just doesn't seem to be in-tune with her criminals. She eventually gets her "man" but has a hard time with it. It can be a fun read if you can get past wanted to help her out with the crimes.
