Read one, Read them all! What makes this one attractive for the crowd that chooses this kind of reading (obviously me) is that there are several stories to be had. Enough details to where you feel you got the whole picture, including the crimes and the outcome. Sometimes I ask myself what is it that attracts my attention to this gruesome kind of reading and the best answer I can come out with is the fascination to find out that in this world there are beings who basically have no morals or scruples. If you ask me to decide I would say and eye for an eye, meaning that as soon as these violent individuals are caught should be executed. Why? Because everyone knows they would do it again if given half the chance. The stories in the book are every bit as nasty, violent and hard to believe as what true crime generally is. No, I do not enjoy them but still like a moth hypnotized by the light I end up reading the whole thing. Among true crime books this one is entertaining. Without much fanfare it delivers several stories and in the end, well, you read them all. No problems. I guess that the main thing I have obtained by being into true crime is that now when I go out my guard is always up, for I know that somewhere or anytime, things may escalate to where danger may have to be neutralized. Let's just say that when it comes to human nature I agree that the majority of people are very nice but that small percentage who is intent on causing harm to perfect innocent bystanders ruin the world around. It is better to be ready than to become one more statistic, that is for sure. 4 Stars if only for the entertainment value..
