I requested this book hoping to further my studies of the Paleolithic eating style. Sadly this book did not help. While Ms. Somer goes on and on about ancient eating ways and lifestyle, her "Origin Pyramid" is the same as the USDA's grain heavy pyramid. For those who don't know, a key point in Paleo/neaderthal/primal eating is the exclusion of grains and legumes. Ms. Somer equates modern whole grains with the wild grasses our ancestors ate. Her recipes include tofu. She actually states that grains should be almost 50% of our intake due to the fiber. A very misleading book. It's a baby step for those who eat a lot of processed foods, but will not make a difference for those further along on the path to Paleolithic eating.
