The books can be read in either order, but are more fun if you read Unwilling Wife first.
This book is a bit heavier than the first one. Maybe I feel that way because Emily is doing a college thesis on the homeless and the struggle they have is touched on in this book. Since the story centers around the deception of her posing as his wife in order to protect his job, the fear of discovery seems to hold the tension through much of the story. Still, it is not one that will keep you up all night worrying about the characters! This is still a pretty light book overall.
These are fun to read together since if you get one sister settled, you naturally want to see the other happy too.
