This book is one of those books whose characters are simply real people and most of the story is very believable and rooted in reality; not too much action and heavy with dialogue. The character of Julia was really intriguing and carried the book. Sexual tension also evident as Miles and Julia connected through e-mail and telephone conversations about his girlfriend that gone missing long ago and how Julia's family especially her father were left in the wake. Not the book for people who like a fast paced story, but the author does a nice job with the voice of Julia and creating a story about life going on after a tragic event.
