A very pretty book which is a reproduction of the original, with Kate Greenaway's original pictures and rhymes. The pictures would be classed as old-fashioned but are clear, full of color and emotion, almost seeming to move. The rhymes trip easily off the tongue, making good ones to memorize - here's a sample: When You and I Grow Up - When You and I grow up - Polly - I mean that you and me, Shall go sailing in a big ship Right over all the sea. We'll wait till we are older, For if we went to-day, You that we might lose ourselves, And never find the way.
